Andy Lloyd's Wildlife and Animals

I haven't got all that many wildlife paintings to show here; most I painted a while ago.  This lion and cub were enjoyable to paint though:

A year or so ago I painted quite a few horses for the Cheltenham Open Air Art Exhibition; one tends to try to create a theme of sorts to a display, although capturing the best mood for a given year can be difficult.

The above painting of the three horses, called 'Horse Fair', was donated to the St Thomas More Catholic Primary School, Cheltenham in January 2005.  One of the board of governors had written to me asking for a painting to hang in the school as part of a project to bring local original art to the children, in the hope of inspiring their creativity.  I was more than happy to meet that request.  This  delightful arrangement was only made possible through the existence of which acted as an interface between the school and local artists.
