I've been painting for about 20 years. I mostly make use of acrylics as a medium, painting on canvas board, or on box canvases. Sometimes I work with watercolours. After several years of concentrating on portrait painting, I've shifted back towards landscape, creating colourful and vibrant pieces. My original paintings are affordable and popular, and can be bought directly from me by mail order, or at exhibition.
This year I completed a large Star Wars wall mural, and stage scenery for the Year 6 production at Longlevens Junior School this summer term. I plan to paint a new mural at LJS this summer holiday, and also another garage door mural this summer.
There are a number of links to further pages of my work, including my popular murals, which appear in schools, hospitals and homes in Gloucester. There's also a page showcasing my bespoke commercial work, which appears in brochures for schools. Other work has been used for album covers, and books covers.
I am the webmaster of cheltenham-art.com. My other interests include writing, and my first book, entitled 'The Dark Star' was published by Timeless Voyager Press in 2005. It has sold over 1000 copies, and has also been translated and published in Germany. My new novel, 'Ezekiel One', is now also available through Amazon (see below).
My artwork will be shown on Week 3 of the Cheltenham Open Air Art Exhibition, on Screen 8 (5th -11th July 2009).
Andy Lloyd is often commissioned to paint portraits of
people and animals, as well as a range of murals. The prices of his
commissioned paintings vary from £30 to £60 depending upon the
size of the painting and complexity of the subject matter. Paintings are
supplied framed and ready to hang, or un-framed for mail-orders outside the
county. Orders have been successfully met for clients in the USA.
